Château Tanunda Grand Barossa Shiraz 2023

A very fine Barossa Shiraz that is impressive value. Maturation was in a mix of new and older American and French oak barrels, for fifteen to eighteen months. The colour here is a deep blood red with soft and gentle aromas of red fruits, cherries, raspberries, smoked meats, plums, animal skins, chocolate and warm earth. There are firm, slightly grippy tannins, decent length and an appealing texture with lifted flavours. The finish lingers well and it should offer pleasure for at least the next four to six years.
