Château Tanunda Terroirs of the Barossa Ebenezer District Shiraz 2022

Impenetrable in deep purple hues. A little impenetrable, too, at this early stage in its life, in cedary oak. Far from shy, it is what many love to see and taste in Shiraz from the Ebenezer sub-region – power. It falls easily into an old school style of Barossa Shiraz with lots of everything from a super ripe mass of black fruits dressed in cinnamon, clove, liquorice, chocolate, spice with a lick of pepper, to a solid, smart oak background in cedar and pencil shavings. Calls for more time in the cellar, but, if it is brought out early, it needs to be enjoyed at the table with something meaty and rich.
