Tapping into its Clare home base as well as the Adelaide Hills, both of which experienced warmer and drier vintages than usual, the combination here has reached right into the fuller flavoured PG style, aromatics exuding a touch of jasmine and the cut and perfume of the more exotic French pear varieties. Both senses spilling into the palate, which is textured, rich and quite mouth filling. There’s a place for this style in the broad church of Pinot Gs. A wine with quite the personality.
