Corryton Burge Shiraz 2021

Share

Not too punchy on the nose, with oak taking the first jab in the ring. Black brambles, mulberry juice and a little pepper. Tight-knit tannins, black juby fruits and black-fruited tannins edging on chewy/dusty. Obsidian and inky, it’s straight to the core with this Shiraz. The spice comes through as it opens up, think star anise and crushed black olive. Does the job that is expected of it, and provides a nice meaty Barossa Shiraz at a good price point. Decant and serve with a chary piece of meat.
