Stella Bella Suckfizzle Margaret River Chardonnay 2022

Share

A cracker of a vintage, a cracker of a wine. Reconciles the seemingly irreconcilable, the rich and complex with the refined and elegant. Aromas of lemon skin, preserved lemon, spiced apple, nectarine, white peach, sea spray. Meshes easily on the palate, works in balance and is beautifully delivered. On the palate gathers pace and complexity in layers of citrus, a touch of gooseberry, mango skin, spiced custard, stone fruits, nougat with a quince-like tartness/acidity that rings long and true through to the finish. Offers good weight, grip, flavour, flesh and oak integration. The only question left is when to open. Me? I’d wait.
