Beautiful, engaging aromas emerge immediately with notes of lemon and honey, and a little of that apple and pear crumble character typical of the variety. The palate is textured, but there is a racy, crisp acidity and light minerality that lifts and extends. A small portion of barrel fermentation has certainly added to that rich middle palate and complemented the texture perfectly. So it’s a wine that is bright and racy, but at the same time rich and textured.
