De Bortoli Cool Climate Pinot Noir 2024

The winemakers for this appealing Yarra Valley Pinot are Webber and Harrop, but it is actually Kate and Jai, respectively. Great to see the next generation from such highly regarded names. The fruit comes from a number of estate vineyards across the region. A portion of whole bunches are included and maturation is in a mix of new and older oak. Pale crimson/garnet in colour, the nose offers aromas weaving through cherries, wild raspberries, hints of leather and warm earth, spices and red fruits. This is finely crafted with a lingering finish and sleek tenants. A juicy style which will make for attractive drinking over the next three to five years.
