Denton Yarra Valley Chardonnay 2024

Share

This was actually the first wine I opened to review, and it was a fantastic introduction to the new vintages of Denton wines. Everything was showing beautifully and the wine just got even better as it breathed. The aroma profile was centred well within the cool-climate origins of the wine: lemon, grapefruit, white flowers, fresh almond and nectarine, characters which were present on the palate, too. In the mouth, the wine is silky and bright, with great acid, minerality and presence, and a long finish. The Chardonnay has all the right variables in place for it to get even better as it ages.
