Wynns V&A Lane Cabernet Shiraz 2024

Share

With a nod to the region’s history, the team harvest both varieties on the same day and they are co-fermented. The split is 69% Cabernet Sauvignon and 31% Shiraz. Maturation is for a period of one year in a mix of new and older French oak puncheons, 18% of which were new. The remaining oak is between one and five years in age. Opaque maroon, almost black in colour, the nose exhibits hints of black fruits, leather, truffles, plums, cassis, coffee beans, herbs, spices, a hint of mint and black cherries. There is good focus and exciting energy here, with excellent balance, impressive length and very fine tannins on the finish. Enjoy this over the next ten to fifteen years.
