Henschke The Nurturer 2024

An expressive and eclectic field blend comprising 22% Carignan, 19% Counoise, 17% Grenache Gris, 15% Grenache, 11% Clairette, 9% Cinsault, and 7% Shiraz, sourced from the Eden and Barossa Valleys. Matured in French oak puncheons for six months prior to blending and bottling. This is all about verve, energy, and sheer drinkability. Brightly lit and lifted from the outset, it bursts with Bing cherry, raspberry jam, blackcurrant juice, and mulberry, laced with lavender florals that add charm and levity. The palate follows suit—light on its feet and cool-fruited, with macerated raspberry, plum, and berry fruit roll-up flavours gliding high through the mouth. Delicate floral notes linger beneath the surface. Fine, chalky tannins provide subtle grip and structure, gently framing the fruit through a clean, vibrant finish. A delicious, free-spirited release.
