Devil’s Corner Resolution Chardonnay 2018

Share

2018 was a standout vintage for chardonnay in Tasmania and was another step toward its recognition as one of our finest places in the country for this grape variety. This example, which offers fantastic value for money, is a great example of the local style.

Pale in colour, it opens with bright and pristine fruits, and seems younger than its three years of age. There is a powerful core of citrus fruits with touches of praline barrel ferment and white floral elements adding aromatic complexity. What follows is a concentrated yet elegant palate with that tell-tale Tasmanian acidity adding spark and vitality, and subtle oak nicely woven through the palate with good overall length. Enjoy this wine over the next four years with sashimi.
