Domaine Elodie Roy Hautes Côtes de Beaune 2022

Selected from three blocks, the team use no oak here. This is simply good fruit, which has nowhere to hide, but nor does it need it. Crimson/garnet hue, the nose reveals fleshy, earthy and gamey notes, with spices, red fruits and plums. A wine of medium length and very fine tannins, there is good length with the intensity maintained for the full journey, and lifts further on the palate. Time in the glass, or a decanter, will benefit the wine. Enjoy this over the next five to six years.
