Passing Clouds Bendigo Graeme’s Shiraz 2022

Share

Graeme’s Shiraz is named after Graeme Leith, founder of Passing Clouds with his wife Sue, who is now retired. I’ve never met Graeme, but the wine named after him seems as rugged as he is. A blend of Shiraz and Cabernet, it’s a bit of a beast when you open the bottle but with a bit of air time is capable of being tamed. There’s a heap of dark fruit like mulberry, black cherry and blueberry, with some dried black fruits and cocoa coming through from bottle age, and a touch of gaminess which blows off after a while. It’s big, it’s bold, and it’s bloody nice with food.
