Lovely hazy salmon-orange colour, this is a smoky and savoury release and I’m here for it. Grilled tangerine, pear, rosehip, ginger spice, something meaty like the smell of a fresh sear, and a dusty oak wood nuance. The palate holds lovely freshness and restraint, though not at the expense of complexity. Ginger, pear, smoke bush, rosewater, and burnt orange permeate the palate before chalky phenolic grip commands the mouth and closes out the show. Ashy, savoury, and spicy. This has complexity and swagger while being fresh and balanced.
