Driftwood Margaret River Artifacts Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2022

Lively, ripe tropicals rule: peach, melon, citrus, with a splash of honeysuckle and hay. It’s not so much in the style of the traditional, lean Bordeaux blend as a modern, easy-drinking Aussie interpretation – very sunny in disposition. Acidity is crunchy and juicy, while fruit is inviting across the palate and structure firm. There’s a fair amount of middle-palate texture here, too, which gives rise to many a food matching possibility. All up, if you haven’t got into Margaret River’s favourite white blend this would be a good place to start.
