Eisenstone Marananga Shiraz 2022

Share

Marananga offers one of the most individual and expressive styles of Barossa Shiraz. The sub-region reigns supreme here in all of its usual multi-coloured glory from the deep purple intensity in colour to the signature blue and purple fruits, finishing with dark, earthy mineral notes so intrinsic to its ironstone soils. Blue fruit, plum, a gentle swathe of dried herbs, nutmeg, spice and fig fill the glass. While a richly embroidered Shiraz, it is beautifully expressive and finely detailed. The trad Eisenstone oak regime – maturation in 50% new French oak, maturation for 18 months before release – brings added texture and full integration of fruit and sub regional terroir expression.
