Elderton Ashmead Family Reserve #2 Shiraz 2021

Share

Ancestor Vines on show here as the wine delivers not only raw power but also exceptional shape and purity of fruit. There is an impressive intensity of dark cherry, fruit pastilles and sweet new oak aromas upfront that are supported by savoury cedar and earth. Then a compact core of flavour to follow that is beautifully formed and even, a line of chewy tannins and lick of acidity well integrated in a long, sustained, although at this young age, slightly oaky finish. It will get there, but just needs some time for that oak to settle.
