This is a leaner, finer and more ethereal style of Riesling than one might expect from Frankland River. Yet, at the same time, it’s powerful and all-encompassing. Lemon rind, grapefruit juice and pomelo pith. There is no shortage of citrus fruit here. In the mouth, the line is tight, the acid linear, and the phenolics chalky. It carries through the palate with tension, pithiness and finesse. A very good wine indeed. I had the fortunate experience of drinking this over four days. The fourth was my favourite. A good indication that this wine will cellar tremendously. Drink with jungle curry.
