Fuddling Cup Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Margaret River Cabernet proves time and time again that it really deserves the pedestal on which has been placed. From the famed Wilyabrup sub-region, the wine saw a year in French oak. Deep blood red colour here with a mature rim there are notes of mushrooms, blackberries, beefstock, dried herbs, roast meats, soy and a hint of tomato bush on a nose that is already exhibiting noticeable complexity. Very fine tannins, though they are a little furry, there is good length here and a lingering finish. An elegant style, as one might expect, which should give pleasure, now and for the next five years.
