George’s Folly Gamay 2024

I can’t get enough of Aussie Gamay. It’s a variety that lends itself well to many different styles and sensibilities. In this rendition, it’s juicy and full flavoured, showing a complex array of characters: cranberry, boysenberry, strawberry, confectionery, raspberry, violets, pepper and some stemminess. The palate is rich and lively, with heaps of acid, resulting in a vivacious and satisfying drop. While the tannins aren’t forceful, it could cellar for another few years with confidence.
