Giacomo Marchiori Spanna 2020

Share

The flagship wine from this producer. 100% Spanna with an average vine age of 45 years. Kirsch, red plum, ferrous, with a glimmer of roast tomato umami emerging with air. There’s a new world sensibility to its open and ripe aromas, but a decidedly Burgundian feel to the palate. Red cherry, ferrous, subtle tilled earth, and some gentle resin to the palate, wrapped up in assertive sinewy tannins. Very good. This is only the third release of this wine from a young producer. Certainly, one to watch.
