Gomersal Wines Rosevale Barossa Valley Shiraz 2022

Barossa Valley Shiraz from an excellent vintage, the name ‘Rosevale’ comes from the original home for the family, located in the Valley, which dates back to 1964. Dark maroon with a purple rim, this is quite an earthy style of red, with notes of chocolate, herbs, plums, dried earth, root vegetables, coffee grinds and black cherries. There is a touch of smoked meats towards the finish. Attractively balanced with good intensity, the wine finishes with fine tannins and should drink well over the next eight years. Good buying.
