Greenock Estate Angas King 1836 Clare Valley Reserve Shiraz 2023

Share

A very fine Shiraz, confirming that the Clare Valley should really be included in discussions when it comes to our best regions for the variety. A dark maroon with a gleaming red rim, the nose gives us aromas of warm earth, root vegetables, animal hides, bay leaves, black fruits, a touch of chocolate, licorice and dried herbs. Offering deft oak integration, this is neatly balanced with a fine line of acidity and is a wine of medium to good length. It finishes with satiny tannins and should drink very well for the next ten to twelve years.
