Henschke Five Shillings 2023

This is a 75/25 Shiraz and Mataro blend from a 75/25 Barossa and Eden Valley combo. It is a thoroughly beautiful wine combining softness and generosity with balance and poise. Just a tiny amount of new French oak has been used more as a condiment to lift the palate. Savoury dark chocolate and ripe rich black fruits with a subtle blue fruit influence. A nice lift of oyster shell adds to the final flourish.
