Henschke Innes Vineyard Pinot Gris 2024

Share

Fits nicely into the Gris repertoire with its fine aromatics but also offers a touch of Grigio-style raciness thanks to the Innes Vineyard’s high altitude in the Adelaide Hills. Fragrant orange blossom and jasmine with a touch of ginger alongside lime, citrus, white peach, quince and apple defines both the wine’s scent and flavour. What defines the structure is a lemony bright and juicy acidity. Its youthful vitality, while attractive, is just a little immature at this stage. The Henschke family regards the vintage as “exceptional” and supports ageing the wine for 15+ years from vintage, so it is a fair bet to suggest that we have yet to see this wine truly singing. Give it a little more time.
