A meeting of parcels of old vine Shiraz (up to 70 years old) grown in the Eden Valley and the Barossa Valley. It’s a wonderful blend of complimentary flavours, combining the high-altitude fineness and pepper of Eden Valley with the warm generosity and richness of Barossa Valley fruit. Red berries and black fruits combine joined by floral intensity in lifted roses with chocolate aromas and dusty cocoa powder. The palate unfurls, rich, layered and complex. Spice steps up, fruit intensifies and 18 months maturation in new and seasoned French oak presents a well-integrated whole. Everything is bright and focused from go to whoa, finishing just a little warm. A wine that meets the need for immediate enjoyment but also for further ageing – a win, win!
