Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc in 2020 is a real hit or miss affair. The baking Summer and bushfires hit the region hard and some wines suffered, but not this one which is a beautifully pitched Summer white.
It is pale in colour and vibrant with attractive tropical fruit aromas plus just a touch of the local green herbs. It is then very approachable with generous flavour plus more reserved acidity, which will win many fans. Layers of citrus and passionfruit are underpinned by a fine line of acidity that provides a lingering finish. It is a crowd pleasing Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc that can be found around town at a bargain price. Drink it chilled with potato salad.
