Tierra del Puerco Challenger Grenache Mataro Malbec 2020

Share

A GMM rather than a GSM and what a difference the last two Ms make. It weighs in at 14% alcohol, but don’t go assuming it’s another Barossan red blend on the larger side. Nope, this wine moves to a different beat in the opposite direction. The choice of Mataro and Malbec brings some delicious spiciness out to play alongside Grenache with a touch of bright pepperiness to the cherry, red fruits and plum. Everything falls nicely within a lighter to medium bodied dry red frame, something to be easily enjoyed solo. Fine tannins make it almost slurpable. Fab price.
