Bekkers Clarendon Syrah Single Vineyard Selection 2024

Share

Entirely made up of fruit from the Bekkers Clarendon Vineyard Estate. Take what you think you know of McLaren Vale Shiraz and be prepared to wipe the board clean for this delicate, poised and floral driven Syrah. Toby and Emmanuelle have always had a talent for coaxing the lifted aromatics of their fruit, this is case in point. Punchy with pink peppercorn, sumac and Lilac, a wine with wondrous sophistication and elegance from its perfume to the soft curves of silky tannins and swirling natural and elongated acidity. There is a waft of winter pine, adding further fragrance and freshness, some oolong tea bitterness that plays well with the impeccably ripe fruit. This is utter class and a jewel of a wine. Drink now with black truffle anything. Or cellar for 8-12 years further.
