Zonte’s Footstep Canto 2019

An interesting combination of the dusty, savoury sangiovese and the more generous and tannic northern Italian variety lagrein, which gives it mid-palate weight and structural grunt without pushing away the palate integrity of sangiovese.

This wine punches out those spicy, malty sour cherry characters of the lagrein that merge with the peppercorn savouriness of sangiovese. It’s
generous with a textural, grainy feel in the mouth that makes it a great food wine. Bright and energetic this wine will be at its best when young.
