Holm Oak Hot Shot Pinot Noir 2021

A super impressive Pinot Noir of elegance and such poise. It’s a blend of just two barrels of different clones and a high level of whole bunch inclusions. This is a wine by stealth. It doesn’t assail you immediately, but rather gently and with gathering momentum delivers impressively. The nose reveals typical notes of cherry and strawberry, but then more primal characters of damp earths and light truffle emerge. The tannins are fine but fine with a slightly stalky character, while the necessary acidity defines and focusses. Outstanding wine.
