Beautifully composed with the odd hint of its regional birthplace with an ongoing thread of acacia, wild spring flowers and citrus blossom on the aroma together with lemon balm, lemon zest, grapefruit pith, ginger and spice. It’s one racy youngster of a Riesling, youthful and full of promise. Acid heads will love the brisk acidity, others will see the benefit of some further ageing. I’m sitting on the fence with this question, I can see both parties have a point. The juiciness of the citrus fruits is a real feature on the palate together with tart zesty notes, a touch of acacia and herbals like rosemary and green apple. Is assured of a long life.
