James Kalleske Wines Short Stories Rosé 2023

Share

Made from a combination of Grenache and Mourvèdre, the former the dominant variety here. There is a dollop of Shiraz and Semillon thrown in for good measure. Grapes are harvested, partly by hand and partly by machine, at differing levels of ripeness, followed by a cool fermentation. The result is delicious. A lovely pale neon pink hue, with a nose of strawberries and cream. This is fresh and with oodles of flavour, but it never overdoes things. There is some refinement too – a thoroughly enjoyable Rosé with a lingering finish that is well-crafted for enjoying now.
