Jilyara Heath Road Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Share

Quite a classic style of Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon in a wine that is initially all about elegance and composure. There are beautifully pure and generous aromas of blackcurrants and violets with a nice little touch of dried herbs thrown in with subtle oak sitting gently in the background. It is then a little more more serious than expected on the palate with quite a firm base of tannins underpinning sweet, vibrant fruits and then finishes with good length and grip. Best with a couple more years under its belt but, if you must go in now, team it up with slow cooked lamb shanks.
