Knappstein Ackland Vineyard Riesling 2024

Share

Delving into terroir-driven, single vineyard styling from Knappstein’s estate plantings on Springvale Rd east of Watervale village where a range of slopes and soil profiles, all kept separate, often from multiple picks, offer a beloved spread of winemaking options. What a joy, as we encounter lovely floral and jasmine tea like aromas to begin, then a quite compact palate that echo those senses, along with a touch of musk and even crunchy white nectarine. The big tick here is the mouthwatering chalky texture that underpins the higher noted suggestions and lingers with a cleansing, minerally finish. Delicious Riesling in anyone’s language.
