Knappstein Riesling 2022

Another cracking and refreshing Clare Valley Riesling from this brilliant vintage. The fruit has been sourced from estate vineyards scattered across the Clare, with vine age ranging between ten and thirty years. Very pale lemon in colour, the nose is refined and elegant, intense and yet graceful. Notes of lemons, spices, florals, a hint of limes but also a lovely touch like lemon essence over river pebbles. Focused, long, balanced, exhibiting bright acidity and exquisitely textured, this should age very well, at least over the next six to twelve years, during which time expect the score to edge up as well. Stunning value.
