Krondorf 121 Settlers Old Vine Shiraz Barossa Valley 2022

Share

A wine where fruit quality prevails above all else. Yet, there is no denying that it has a big energy. Quince paste, black cherry skins and prunes, but ripe and plucked from the tree, not dried. It’s comforting, a bear hug of joy and alcoholic warmth. In the mouth, cedar, fresh mulberries, and tart blackberry pie dusted with cinnamon, tonka bean and other woody spices. Tannins are lush and integrated, adding to the magnitude of what is clearly a Barossa Shiraz. Not a cheap thrill here.
