Boasts the lifted aromatic cool climate qualities of Macedon Ranges Pinot Noir with some oomph. Harmony reigns on the bouquet in chocolate and spice, black cherry and plum, five spice and aniseed. Runs generous and long with supple tannins allowing a good build-up across the palate of delicious, juicy red fruits, plum and spice with a pinch of dried herbs. A good follow up to the ’22 highlighting the estate’s rounded, soft hearted, fruit-filled Pinot Noir winemaking ethos. And like the ’22, has enough in reserve for the cellar as well as for earlier enjoyment. Based on a barrel selection from what was, according to general consensus, a terrific vintage with plenty of finesse on display in the region’s Pinot.
