Kyneton Ridge Sparkling Shiraz NV

Fruit is from Heathcote and is matured in French and American barriques of which 25% are new for 7 months. Blackberries, boysenberries and Kalamata olive. Moroccan spices, boot leather and sarsaparilla. Vanilla bean, mulled wine and tangerine citrus peel before a hint of savoury cured meats on the finish. Sultry and luxurious, with a good slurp of sweetness but balanced well by spice and terra cotta earthiness. This is drinking well now and would be a real treat alongside slow cooked pork shoulder.
