The 10% Sangiovese has quite the impact with gritty tannins and astute acidity. It is even lifting the black berried fruit to boysenberry and mulberry. Succulent in its palate weight, this is a fitting wine for herbal tomato sauced based pastas and salami slices on bread. Plenty of interest and quality for the price, and a notable wine in the range.
