La Resistance Organic Côtes du Rhône Rosé 2019

When it comes to French rosé, almost everyone reaches for the wines from Provence and poor old Côtes du Rhône gets lost in the rush. But let me let you into a little secret – the wines are fairly similar as both come from South-Eastern France and Côtes du Rhône often offers better value.

Take this organic rosé for example. Pale salmon pink it is a subtle and savoury style with red strawberry aromas topped off with the barest hints of meat and spice. Bone dry, it is a bit fuller and richer than similar wines from Provence and offers a lingering spicy finish. With food this will beat most Provence rosés every day of the week.
