Intensity and a varietal clarity on show here that run deep, deeper than an initial sniff might indicate. The bouquet brings on dusty lemon scents, citrus, grapefruit pith, gooseberry and hints of earthy asparagus. Gets down into solid Sauvignon territory to taste with a herbaceous essence that is super attractive, concentrated, with a racy acidity bouncing off citrus and green herbals. Plenty of flavour on show, creamy across the middle palate, before an exotic finish in lemongrass high notes – a lovely touch.
