Out of a prized parcel in the Castiglione Falletto district, the colour and fragrance head into a darker shade of ruby and rose, with Middle Eastern spices and a delicate, tobacco leaf exotica to the top notes. The palate mirrors much of this with added richness in the flesh of the grape, and a chewiness to the textural senses, tannins beautifully resolved, flavours reverberating in the finish. Lots to unravel in this quite complex expression.
