Cox Family Wines Barossa Shiraz 2021

Share

From the Vine Vale sub-region in the Barossa, with vines in their third decade, the wine spent fifteen months in a mix of French (20% of which was new) and American oak. Dark maroon in colour, this wine exhibits a rich and effusive nose with black cherries to the fore complemented by spices, herbs, blackberries, soy and delicatessen meats. The palate is sleek and seductive with good focus and those flavours, especially the cherries, continuing in full force. Bright acidity, fine balance and an impressive finish. Now for six years.
