Translucent pale ruby garnet colour. It’s charry and autumnal on first look with a lovely lifted feel. Scorched bark and autumn leaves are filled out by dark cherry, cranberry, sweet, tilled earth, forest floor and stemmy spice. It’s quite charming and alluring aromatically. The palate balances fruit and savoury nicely, with a nice burst of red cherry, cranberry, raspberry and red rose nestled within forest floor and earth before firm-but-fine powdery tannins frame it up to medium length. Some clean and bright acidity in tow. This has real Pinot Noir sensibility and has maintained a youthful energy at five years of age. It’s packed with charm and interest. A steal in this price point.
