Inama Veneto Rosso Carmenere Piu IGT 2020

Share

Predominantly Carmenere and a touch of Merlot from the province of Vicenza in Veneto, this wine opens with blackberry, black cherry and kalamata olives. Woody herbs of rosemary, thyme and bay leaf with sandalwood, mace and boot polish. There are coffee grinds and rolling tobacco pouches. Acidity is astute and fruit awakes in red cherries and strawberries as well. Oak is well integrated on the palate and the wine is nicely balanced. This is a black and red fruited example of Carmenere and nicely poised for drinking alongside spicy salamis and charcuterie.
