The great white grape of Coonawarra shines here in a top vintage year. It’s a cracking wine with old vines (planted 1974) bringing that extra touch of class, not to mention intensity of fruit character, to the glass. Aromas of honeysuckle, Thai basil, ginger, lime, citrus and apple. Flavours are equally intense and concentrated with a thread of beeswax that brings that added sense of complexity. This is quite the all-round Riesling experience a la Coonawarra, promoting the region’s signature lemon, lime and grapefruit pith chalky texture against a fresh and electric acid profile.
