Leconfield McLaren Vale Shiraz 2023

The colour is red and black and almost opaque. Aromas of spicy plum and black fruits appear with a lightly toasty oak influence. It’s richly textured and lavishly flavoured, with the dark plummy fruits held close with fine chalky tannins and a decent hit of French oak. It’s an elegant wine of some poise but with a complex, earthy, dark plummy complexity that makes it so appealing.
