Lenton Brae Wilyabrup Cabernet 2022

Share

This style of Cabernet will never go out of fashion. Not when made like this. Abundant, succulent, ripe, generous and balanced. The quality of fruit shines here. The winemaking – seen but not heard. There to support and empower – never to take over. Black plums (note plump plummy-ness is in every Lenton Brae Cabernet, and I love it!), blackberry compote and split-lip-iodine-blood. It’s full-bodied and hits that spot that makes you reminisce. Ah, the good old days before Instagram. You could happily put this aside for some time, though drinking beautifully with its vibrant fruit, right now. Decant before serving and eat with something wholesome. Nothing gastronomic. Maybe a beef skirt steak with greens. Or, Mum’s lasagne.
