This is largely shiraz with about 22% cabernet from what are now very mature vines. There are loads of blackberry and vanillin coffee grinds aromas with a high-end perfume of violets and red berry. The palate is seamless and smooth with fine chalky tannins working in unison with the fine-grained oak. Complex and worthy of extended cellaring. This is a classic Aussie combination and one of its best examples.
